Paw Prints

Animal lovers- brace yourselves.

I thought about all the dogs, cats, fishies, and hamsters my family and I have owned over the years…all the animals I have lost and the four legged family I have laid to rest. All the nights praying that God would just give me another day with them, that maybe when we got to the vet the next day it would be good news.

But it wasn’t good news.

It never is.

So, it got me thinking, why on earth would we invest ourselves in things the end in such tragic pain? Why would any sane human being allow themselves to get close to something that is going to just well die?

That’s easy.

Piece of cake as a matter of fact.

Love.

Of all the animals I've ever had not a single one has not loved me and I not loved them. Granted some more than others, but loved none the less.

For all the true animal lovers out there, is there any relationship anyone has had with another human being that they were given more endless love by that person than their dog. Their cat. Their fish. Their hamster.

I know I can spend all day with my dogs walk right outside to the mailbox and come back in, and if you were here to see them, you’d swear that I’d been gone for days. Months even. I know when I get home there are at least three of my best friends waiting to see me, waiting with wagging tails and wet kisses. I know that no matter what I do, say, or believe there are always these three that love me.

Three is such a small number though…

There have been more.

But like all else that lives…..

What brings me comfort in this is I know one day Ill see all my pets again. I know Ill once again have gold hair everywhere, in all my stuff, I know one day Ill scratch-th some      back-th, and see some gravitation and some rotation. Ill see again that Boston terrier who you could hear snoring from the other room and that daschund barking at tennis balls that he, himself, threw under the table. The past, fond memories. Its these memories that make it all worth it. Its the times you dress your dog up with a Santa Clause hat for Christmas. Or when you play ball in the back yard. Its a bulldog with a grip that you can get him to bite a toy rope and lift him completely off the ground. Its simply the smartest and greatest dog who ever lived. A dog so smart he has people talk for him. A Dog that anyone who meets him loves him.

I love him.

Come and meet him and you will to.

You see, I know that waiting in heaven is not only the people I have loved that went before me, but all the pets I’ve had over the years.

I can see them now all sitting and waiting at the pearly gates, wagging, as we approach.

Finally, we’ve come back.

Back to where we belong.

Back to them.

We have finally come back home.

Paper Planes

So…. do to the woman i finally got me a blog! (well really I wanted one but I’d never give her the satisfaction of knowing it)

If your reading this then congratulation!!!!!!!! Your apart of my blog deflowering, per verbally losing my blog V-card as it were. So feel special because this is a big moment for you.

Blogs to me are just an expression of one’s ideas, a place where someone can go and bare their soul, exhale all their feelings and ideas for the world to see and read.

I once had this cool idea or at least I thought it was a cool idea, if you could write something, anything, maybe even a secret, on a piece of paper fold it up into a paper airplane and throw it with all your might and maybe it would fly for miles, days even, and land somewhere you didn't know anyone (and no I'm not gonna say maybe all the way China because while every thing is made there not everything ends up there, and you cant dig there, i know ive tried) But what if this was possible, what if you could give away your grief, your gripes, your sorrows, your joys, your blessing, your memories, maybe even your love. What if we could each, throw our paper planes into the wind and breath a little easier knowing that someone somewhere knew our thoughts, these things we feel compelled to say.

Oh, excuse my manners…. Mother be not proud

(throat clearing)

Please let me introduce my self:

Hello!, My name is Michael. I am pleased to meet you. Grateful you dropped in. So ill tell you about me… ‘Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born’ on November 29th at 7:45 A.M. Anno Domini 1988. eeeehhhhhhh….I guess ill fast forward for you….. Today I attend Midlands Tech and work full time. I have the most wonderful family whom I would not trade for the all the world’s riches, friends I can trust and am currently dating simply the best person I have ever know. She is the wind that blew Diana's candle out. She brought down the walls of Jericho and never made a sound. She got Gilligan of the island and doesn’t own a boat, and she even kick Chuck Norris’s ass. Basically she’s great. So i feel I remain constantly blessed by a gracious God with joyous experience and vast oceans of love both given and received.

I look forward to enlightening you all with my personal thought philosophy in the coming days, weeks, months, and God willing the years ahead.

So this blog will be my paper airplane. I’m throwing my words to the wind in the hope that maybe someone (maybe even someone special) is listening, waiting with they’re hands up in the air waiting to catch my thoughts and my words.
